Overview

Meredith is a Senior Associate in Linklaters’ Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations group, where her practice focuses on complex civil and criminal litigation and international investigations and enforcement, including matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the False Claims Act (FCA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), anti-bribery and corruption laws, U.S. financial sanctions, federal securities laws, and cross-border regulatory compliance.

Meredith has a strong commitment to pro bono and rule-of-law initiatives, having devoted significant time to matters involving civil rights, human rights, women’s rights, and individual refugee determinations. She currently serves as the Vice Chair for Rule of Law for the ABA International Law Section's Anti-Corruption Committee. She has written numerous amicus briefs on behalf of the National Women’s Law Center and American Jewish Committee before the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit and Fourth Circuit, and the University of Buenos Aires Human Rights Clinic before the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights. During law school, she was a Chair of NYU Law Women, and received the Vanderbilt Medal for outstanding contributions to the School of Law and the Journal of International Law and Politics Prize. She is an active member of the firm’s Women’s Network Committee.

Work highlights 
  • Numerous industry-leading multinational companies: cross-border investigations into FCPA, fraud, and corruption issues; investigations by multi-lateral development banks and other international organizations into prohibited practices; advice on compliance and the application of U.S. sanctions programs.
  • Multinational construction equipment manufacturer: as independent compliance consultant, evaluated and provided binding recommendations on company-wide global compliance programs.
  • Multiple leading construction firms: advising on investigations and settlement negotiations with a multilateral development bank regarding prohibited practices in major infrastructure projects.
  • Global textile company: advising in a DOJ Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigation that concluded with no action.
  • Medical device manufacturing company: counsel in False Claims Act litigation in Alabama federal court. 
  • Multinational mining company: advising on issues relating to risk, bribery and corruption, money laundering, sanctions, and human rights.

Professional experience

Meredith is Vice Chair for Rule of Law for the ABA International Law Section's Anti-Corruption Committee. 

During law school, Meredith was a member of NYU Law’s Global Justice Clinic, Legal Assistant at the International Law Commission of the United Nations, and Developments Editor for the Journal of International Law and Politics.

She previously worked for several major international foundations and non-governmental organizations. She was also a Junior Fellow in Democracy and Rule of Law at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where she conducted research and policy analysis on political development and rule-of-law reform.

Education and qualifications

Meredith holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, where she received the Vanderbilt Medal for Outstanding Contributions to the School of Law and the Journal of International Law and Politics Prize.

 She graduated summa cum laude from Wellesley College, where she double majored in Anthropology and Political Science, received Honors in Anthropology, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Eta Chapter of Massachusetts.

Meredith is proficient in French.
