Overview
Patrik is head of Banking in the firm’s Stockholm office, advising Nordic and international banks, private equity funds, debt funds and corporates on a wide range of debt finance transactions, including leveraged finance, real estate finance, restructuring and insolvency, corporate lending, structured finance and high yield bonds.
Patrik also advises on financial regulatory issues, including counselling banks, funds and securities institutions on compliance with domestic and international financial regulations.
Work highlights
Patrik has led on a wide variety of market-leading banking deals. These include advising:
- Nordea Bank AB (publ), Danske Bank A/S and Altor Fund Manager AB on the refinancing of Transcom Holding AB (publ), a portfolio company of Altor, by way of issuance of a bond due 2023 and a multicurrency revolving credit facility agreement
- Ovako Group AB and the borrowers on the refinancing of an international bond due 2019 by way of a EUR 310m Swedish bond due 2022, the refinancing of a multicurrency revolving facility agreement and a pension insurance line facility agreement with a rollover of outstanding commitments thereunder
- a syndicate of eight lenders on the financing of the acquisition of Navico, the Norway-based marine electronics company
- a syndicate of 14 banks on a working capital facility for Scania, the Swedish automotive manufacturer
- the lender on the financing of Platzer’s €2.8bn acquisition of real estate properties from Volvo
- Enagás and Fluxys on the financing of their acquisition of Swedegas, the owner and operator of the Swedish gas transmission grid
Professional experience
Patrik is a member of the Swedish Bar Association.
Education and qualifications
Patrik studied law and economics at the University of Stockholm, including six months at the University of Manchester.
Patrik speaks Swedish and English.
