Overview

Piotr is a Polish qualified lawyer (radca prawny) with more than 8 years’ experience specializing in Corporate/M&A, Financial Regulation and Capital Markets advisory. He is a member of the Warsaw Financial Regulation Group advising to wide range of financial institutions and listed companies in relation to regulatory matters, including ESG, MiFID, MAR, EMIR, Brexit, PRIIPs, AIFMD and UCITS. 

Work highlights

Piotr has extensive corporate, capital markets and financial regulatory experience. The breadth of his practice includes advising:

  • Orange Polska, one of the largest Polish telecommunications service providers: advising on the establishment of a 50:50 joint venture with the APG fund valued at €605m, to build a fiber-optic network in Poland.
  • ING Bank Śląski S.A., a Polish subsidiary of ING Group: advising on its acquisition of 45% of shares in NN Investment Partners TFI (Polish asset management company) from NN Investment Partners International Holdings.
  • most reputable financial institutions: advising on the impact of Brexit on their Polish businesses.
  • various corporates: advising on regulatory risks and filings relating to the acquisition or disposal of various financial services businesses.
  • a number of international banks, broker dealers, trading venues, private banks and asset managers: assisting with their regulatory implementation projects for MiFID II, Brexit and ESG (among others).
  • EU credit institution: advising in connection with its multi-billion euro rights issue public offer and introduction of its new shares to trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
