Hong Kong open seminar programme 2016

Unconscious bias

Unconscious bias is a natural technique we use everyday to make decisions about people, places, situations and things. It’s not always a bad thing to have biases, but what happens when your biases slows someone’s development at work? Can biases or preferences change? What is the impact on colleague and customer relationships?

We are pleased to invite you to a lunchtime seminar with our Global Diversity Manager Daniel Danso where we will discuss these questions and more, to help us come away with:

  • a greater understanding of what unconscious bias or preference is and how it manifests itself in our day-to-day work
  • a narrative that we can use to create an inclusive environment for our colleagues, customers and external community members
  • some key things that we can do to be “actively” inclusive
