A wider view? Company reporting and AGMs in 2018
In this seminar we will help you prepare for reporting and AGMS in 2018 by reviewing new reporting obligations, considering lessons learned from the 2017 AGM season and providing a refresher on handling difficult issues at AGMS.
Reporting and AGMs increasingly need to deal with the concerns of wider stakeholders, not just investors. Large businesses must now report on a wide range of their activities, including supply chains, payment practices, pay by gender, diversity and tax strategy. New non-financial reporting requirements include a focus on the due diligence carried out by large businesses in implementing their policies on matters such as human rights and corruption. At the same time, there is more pressure than ever for listed companies to explain and justify management pay awards and to prove that their directors take account of their obligations to wider society.
In this seminar we will help you prepare for reporting and AGMs in 2018 by:
- reviewing recently introduced reporting obligations and how companies are dealing with them;
- looking at what happened in the 2017 AGM season and changes companies may want to make to their AGM business and procedures;
- considering remuneration reporting in 2017 and what you need to bear in mind in 2018; and
- providing a refresher on handling difficult issues at AGMs.
This seminar will be of interest to: company secretaries and general counsel of listed companies. In addition, some of the reporting obligations affect all large businesses.
