Paris Partner Roland Ziadé elected to the FIAA Executive Committee
Roland Ziadé, member of the Paris, New York and Beirut Bars, joins the Executive Committee of the Foundation for International Arbitration Advocacy (FIAA) which gathers a selective group of leading practitioners, representing the main jurisdictions and institutions within the field of Arbitration.
FIAA's purposes are as follows:
- to promote and provide training in effective and ethical advocacy skills and techniques for international arbitration;
- to provide a forum for arbitrators, counsel and academics to analyse, develop and promote effective and ethical advocacy and dispute resolution skills and techniques for international arbitration; and
- to ensure links between academia and practising lawyers for the purpose of developing know-how and standards for international arbitration.
FIAA's Executive Committee provides leadership and includes a prestigious group of leading arbitration practitioners representing jurisdictions worldwide and major arbitral institutions.
This new role follows two other appointments in 2015: Roland has been appointed for a three-year mandate by the World Council of the International Chamber of Commerce to the International Court of Arbitration, the world's leading body for the resolution of international disputes by arbitration. He has also been appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Arbitration Guidelines and Rules Subcommittee of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association.
These recent appointments underline the leading role that our team holds on the global arbitration scene.
