He often plays a leading role on some of largest and most high-profile private equity and corporate transactions on the market in Italy and abroad. As well as his profound knowledge of the financial services sector, Giovanni has also advised on many transactions in the energy and real estate sectors.

  • Intesa Sanpaolo and the other shareholders on the disposal of Allfunds Bank
  • Long-Term Investments on the acquisition of a 50% stake in Camfin and subsequently on the sale of its indirect shareholding in Pirelli to China National Tire & Rubber Co
  • Dixons Retail on its co-investment in Unieuro and Marco Polo to form one of Italy’s largest retailers of electrical goods
  • AUDI AG in the acquisition of Ducati Motor Holding
  • United Technologies on the acquisition by its Italian affiliate, United Technologies Holdings Italy, of approximately 70 percent of the share capital of Riello Group
  • D-Marine Investments Holding, an Amsterdam-headquartered subsidiary of the Dogus Group, on the purchase of Mercati, which owns the Hotel Aldrovandi Villa Borghese in Rome
