Getting to know the European Investment Fund
The Linklaters Learning Hub in Luxembourg
The European Investment Fund (EIF) is a unique institution, within the European Institutions but also within the sectors in which it operates, in cooperation with State, Regional, International and private actors. As an invaluable business partner, it contributes to increase and enhance access to finance to regions, players and sectors where such access is traditionally cumbersome or inexistent through products that have no parallel anywhere else and that continually push the market towards greater efficiency and innovation.
But what does that entail in practice? How does the EIF enhance access to finance? How does its mission translate in practice and benefits its partners and, thereby, the Member States’ economies? What are the products that the EIF offers?
This session will introduce you to this unique institution, giving you an overview of its activity branches and its products. We will also consider the advantages of having the EIF as a business partner.
This session will be delivered by Diogo Casqueiro, Managing Associate in our Capital Markets and Banking team, who advises banks, issuers, funds and sponsors in the context of their different financing transactions and was seconded to the EIF. Diogo will be joined by a member of the European Investment Fund.
This session will cover basic principles of the selected legal topic, and is designed for our clients and internal lawyers alike, to further their professional development together.
