21st Century Trusteeship and Governance

The Pensions Regulator has issued a discussion paper entitled 21st Century Trusteeship and Governance<.

The paper raises 13 discussion questions (collected together in Appendix A), which between them relate to the following key themes:

  • board effectiveness and the importance of diversity;
  • the role of the chair;
  • meeting trustee knowledge and understanding standards, and the role of training and development;
  • managing conflict of interests;
  • engagement with key governance activities and working with third parties; and
  • small schemes.
