Kwaku Osei named Professional Services Rising Star in the Black British Business Awards 2018
We are pleased to announce that Kwaku Osei, project finance associate, has been named the Professional Services Rising Star at the Black British Business Awards 2018.
The Black British Business Awards, which celebrated their fifth anniversary this year, recognise and celebrate the important contribution made by business professionals and entrepreneurs of African and Caribbean heritage, who represent the very best talent of all ages and across various sectors from all regions of the economy.
As a member of the Linklaters Africa Group, Kwaku has advised on several of the firm’s transactions in the continent including the $US5bn Nacala corridor financing, the largest ever infrastructure project financing in sub-Saharan Africa and has written on Ghana’s power sector for The New York Times. He is also a member of Linklaters’ diversity action team which conducts targeted recruitment of BAME candidates and mentors Linklaters’ prospective and current trainees.
Judging the awards were a panel of business executives, chaired by Sophie Chandauka, global COO of Morgan Stanley’s shared services and banking operations.
Commenting on this recognition, Kwaku said:
“I’m pleased to have been named a winner among other high-achieving business leaders. These awards are a great opportunity to raise awareness of black talent across different sectors and the contribution we are making to our organisations.”
