Overview

Based in the firm’s Brussels office and French-law qualified, Alexane has experience working on all aspects of EU competition law, including merger control proceedings, foreign investment screening, abuse of dominance cases and cartel investigations.

Alexane acts in cases in a diverse range of sectors, including healthcare, telecom and energies. She regularly assists global corporations in relation to potential merger/acquisitions and joint venture arrangements.

Alexane holds a Master’s Degree in European Business Law from the University Paris-II Panthéon-Assas and an LL.M. in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe. Prior to joining Linklaters, Alexane conducted several internships in the Competition Law and Intellectual Property departments of international law firms in Brussels and Paris, as well as at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission.

Experience highlights

  • Vodafone on its sale of a controlling stake in Vantage Towers, a leading tower company in Europe, to a consortium of financial sponsors (KKR and GIP).
  • A global pharmaceutical company, in relation to an abuse of dominance investigation initiated by the Belgian competition authority.
  • A telecom operator, in court proceedings following a third party’s challenge on the validity of a Commission’s clearance decision.

Professional experience

Alexane is an Associate in the Antitrust and Foreign Investment Practice since October 2021. Prior to joining Linklaters, Alexane conducted several internships in the Competition Law and Intellectual Property departments of international law firms in Brussels and Paris. She also did an internship at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission.

Education and qualifications

Alexane studied English and French Law while pursuing a double degree from the University of Leicester and the University of Strasbourg. She also holds a Master’s Degree in European Business Law from the University Paris-II Panthéon-Assas and an LL.M. in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe.
