Linklaters is proud to partner with the Paris Fintech Forum in 2019.
The Paris Fintech Forum is taking place 29-30 January 2019 at Paris’ historic former stock exchange building, Palais Brongniart. This major event in the European Fintech calendar unites some of the most recognisable faces of the European financial landscape to share and spark ideas in the field of Fintech.
Billed as ‘THE’ European Fintech event of the year, at least 220 CEOs from around the world and a total of 2,600 individuals from the global Fintech community will be converging in Paris to hear about the latest trends in Fintech around the world.
What we'll be doing
As part of this event, Linklaters will be hosting a workshop on the morning of Tuesday 29 January, open to any Paris Fintech Forum ticket holders. Our workshop will consist of three seminars covering the following topics relating to Fintech deals & investments.
- 9am – Strategic Fintech M&A:
Investing strategically in the digital scene can help you stay ahead of the competition in a rapidly changing market. In this seminar, our lawyers offer insights into the structuring, negotiation and completion of an investment targeting a Fintech company.
- 10am – Platform Deals:
Innovative technology is driving new unique forms of collaboration. Pooling resources with peer players can help companies develop solutions offering mutual benefit and position themselves as drivers of change. Our lawyers share their experiences and predictions for the future.
- 11am – Blockchain and DLT in practice:
With all the hype around blockchain, it is not always easy to keep track of how it is being implemented in practice. Our lawyers discuss various evolving use cases – such as securities trading, payment systems and trade finance – considering their potential impact and legal feasibility.
Join our workshop in Room D on the 1st floor of Palais Brongniart.
In addition, we will speaking on a panel entitled "GDPR: can we make customer consent rules an opportunity in financial Services?" along with CEOs of Fintech companies, to be held on the morning of Wednesday 30 January.
