Linklaters shines at the Asia-Pacific FT Innovative Lawyers Awards
Last night the firm celebrated at the inaugural Asia-Pacific FT Innovative Lawyers Awards ceremony winning Innovation In Finance Law and our partner William Liu was awarded Most Innovative Lawyer.
These awards recognise Linklaters’ on-going market leadership in the region and its outstanding contribution to the industry for innovative legal ideas and strategies. The firm received the Innovation in Finance Law award for its work on developing the “dim sum” bond market; advising the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to create the first derivatives clearing house in Hong Kong; and its work in Thailand on helping to structure the fund investment for BTSGIF’s acquisition of the net fare-box revenue for Bangkok’s Sky Train System.
Linklaters capital markets partner, William Liu, was awarded Most Innovative Lawyer, for playing a key role in developing the renminbi-denominated “dim sum” bond market.
Although in its first year in Asia-Pacific, the FT Innovative Lawyers Report is regarded as one of the top legal rankings, running into its ninth year in Europe and the accompanying awards are widely respected.
The report, which was distributed in the Financial Times today, is available on the FT website.
