Higher fines for Listing Rule breaches

Introduction

The FSA has fined a listed company £2.4m and revealed a new methodology for deciding on the level of penalties for companies that have breached UKLA rules. The FSA notes that the new approach, which uses a formula based on the listed company’s market capitalisation, "is expected to lead to significantly higher penalties than in the past".
