Overview

Loris is well known for his wide experience in banking, finance and insolvency litigation, as well as in domestic and international arbitration. He also advises financial institutions in the context of regulatory investigations.

Loris has developed specialist expertise assisting international private equity funds in transactions involving Non-Performing Loan (NPL) portfolios, working in conjunction with the firm’s leading lawyers in the Corporate, Finance, Securitisation and Tax practices. In this context, he assists clients in developing strategies to recover outstanding credit, repossess assets, enforce mortgages and guarantees, and manage creditor intervention in bankruptcy proceedings.

Loris also advises in business crime and corporate criminal liability matters, including on Italy’s 231 Law, under which companies may be liable for certain crimes committed by directors or employees having an apical role inside the organisation.

Loris spent three months on secondment to the firm’s London office in 2016.

Professional experience

Loris lectures on directors’ liability to participants on Valore D, the leading association in Italy for prominent Italian companies committed to supporting female leadership in the corporate world.
