Overview

Sara is a Managing Associate in the Antitrust & Foreign Investment practice of Linklaters in Paris. She advises in all areas of EU and French competition law, particularly in antitrust and merger control.

Work highlights

Recent significant matters in which Sara has been involved include:

  • Advising Peugeot Group on its merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles which would create the fourth largest global OEM in terms of annual unit sales with combined revenues of almost EUR 170 billion.
  • Advising Nestlé on (i) the acquisition of core brands of The Bountiful Company from KKR, valued at USD 5.75 billion, (ii) the notification of its USD 7.15 billion acquisition of the perpetual global license of Starbucks Consumer Packaged Goods and Foodservice products, combining the three most famous coffee brands in the world: Nescafé, Nespresso and Starbucks and (iii) the creation of a joint venture with R&R (owned by PAI Partners) resulting in the combining of their ice cream businesses on a worldwide level.
  • Advising utilities giant ENGIE (formerly) GDF SUEZ, in a major dominance case in the French gas sector.
  • Advising GoodMills (formerly VK Mühlen), a leading European flour miller, in obtaining a significant reduction of its fine in a cartel case before the French Competition Authority.

Professional experience

Before joining Linklaters, Sara worked in the Antitrust & Competition Law practice of an international law firm based in Paris. 

Sara also worked for six months on secondment in the Legal Department of EPEX SPOT, and for nine months on secondment at Société Générale’s Legal Department, where she gained an insight into the perspective of a multinational group, advising on a wide range of antitrust matters.

Education and qualifications

Sara is admitted to the Paris Bar. She obtained her Master 2 in European and Economic Law from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and graduated from HEC with a Master in Management and Business Law.
