For the Trustee of the Granada Supplementary Pension Scheme in successfully defending before the Court of Appeal, a claim by Granada that security arrangements set up under the “top up” scheme contravened Companies Act 1985 restrictions as there was no shareholder approval for them and as a result the security held by the trustees must be released.
