Gavin is a managing associate in the investment management group based in the London office. He also advises investors, particularly sovereign wealth funds and pension funds.

Professional experience
Gavin was a partner in a Cayman Islands law firm, and a Cayman attorney for 15 years, with wide experience in hedge funds and structured finance, and was recognised as a leading lawyer for funds and finance by IFLR. He has worked in Australia for Allens, and on secondment in the derivatives and forex teams at Westpac Bank, in the investments team at Australian Retirement Trust and the legal team at Barings in London.
Education and qualifications
Gavin has undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in Philosophy, and studied for the Bar in London and the LPC at the College of Law. He has been admitted in England as a solicitor, in Australia as a legal practitioner and in the Cayman Islands as an attorney-at-law. Gavin has taught company law on BA, LLB, LLM and MBA degrees in the UK and Australia.
