The Diversity Series: Linklaters Diversity Week

From 9 September, Linklaters will celebrate its Global Diversity Week. Hosted annually across our offices, it is an opportunity for our people around the world to celebrate diversity in all its forms and understand the importance of inclusion in the workplace.

As part of Diversity Week, the Employment & Incentives team will be posting a series of blogs relating to areas of diversity and inclusion (D&I). In particular, we will focus on some of the areas of diversity that do not receive as much legal commentary as others, including mental health, social mobility, transgender issues and rights for new fathers.

Diversity events and organisation-led festivities provide opportunities for employers to positively communicate their D&I strategy and agenda to the wider workforce as part of promoting a healthy workplace culture. It is also an opportunity for organisations to collaborate with external parties, such as clients, consumers and industry bodies, to showcase their efforts and improve brand reputation and company ethos.

Our Diversity Faculty, comprising our lawyers and in-house business advisors, works closely with clients to help design their D&I strategies and develop these types of initiatives. The Faculty also provides bespoke training and other awareness-raising talks, for our clients to deliver the kinds of engagement with D&I across their workforce that we have seen work in practice.

If you would like to know more about Linklaters Diversity Week, or how you can work with our Diversity Faculty, do get in touch. We would be delighted to share our experience from our own D&I journey.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for our diversity blog posts and you can access other diversity related content and commentary below.
