Supreme Court paves the way for UK collective actions in landmark Merricks v Mastercard decision

In its much-anticipated judgment in Walter Merricks CBE v Mastercard Incorporated & Ors [2020] UKSC 51, the Supreme Court has (largely) upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal, remitting the proceedings to the CAT for further consideration of whether a CPO should be granted. We consider the Supreme Court’s judgment and what it means for the future of the UK regime.
