Linklaters becomes brand sponsor for Crowdcube’s Emerging Tech Campaign for AI and robotics companies

  • Crowdcube have collaborated with Britbots to find and fund seed-stage AI and robotics companies as part of their new Emerging Tech campaign
  • As brand sponsor, Linklaters will be providing an exclusive legal package for successful candidates selected for funding as part of the campaign
  • This is part of Linklaters ongoing relationship with Crowdcube, as their exclusive legal partner for their Funded Club offering to companies post-funding

Linklaters has become a brand sponsor for an AI and Robotics campaign being run by Crowdcube, the UK’s largest equity crowdfunding platform, in collaboration with Britbots, which funds and supports UK-based robotics, AI and automation businesses. The Emerging Tech campaign aims to find and fund UK based entrepreneurs and later-stage companies in the robotics, automation and AI industries.

As part of the sponsorship, Linklaters will provide an exclusive legal package to the successful candidates of the campaign who are selected for funding.  The legal package will also provide candidates with access to ‘TechLinks’, Linklaters’ online portal designed specifically for small and start-up tech businesses,  to provide them with access to extensive legal resources and insights.

As a concept, AI raises a number of practical, legal and ethical challenges. Alongside their existing experience from advising clients on related issues across a variety of practice areas, this sponsorship will provide Linklaters with exposure to new, exciting and emerging tech, robotics and AI companies. These relationships will also provide invaluable market insight into businesses that have the potential to influence and reshape the future of many traditional industries in which it already has an established presence of providing legal advice.

This campaign is one of a number of initiatives Linklaters has sponsored with Crowdcube, as their ongoing legal partner for their Funded Club: Crowdcube’s post-funding service delivery to its companies.

Laurie Ollivent, Managing Practice Development Lawyer, said “We are excited, to be part of this initiative. This campaign is one of a number of initiatives we have worked on with Crowdcube, and we can help provide the type of broader support that these companies need in order to establish themselves during early stages of development in order to give them the best chance to flourish and grow into the tech giants of tomorrow.”
