Overview

Amalia specialises in M&A transactions, joint ventures, restructurings as well as project developments in the energy and infrastructure sector. Furthermore, she advises on energy regulatory matters and contract law.

In addition, Amalia regularly advises tech companies and VC-investors on financing rounds and related M&A projects.

Work highlights
  • Energy company: advising its subsidiary on the acquisition of all shares in Klarsolar GmbH by way of an auction process.

  • German industrial company: advising on the planned acquisition of nearly 50% in a German offshore wind farm and conclusion of a novel PPA for the generated electricity in the form of a disc model.

  • Clean tech company: advising on the project development and financing of a lithium converter in Guben (Brandenburg) with a planned production capacity of 24,000 tons of lithium hydroxide as well as on regulatory aspects of the project contracts for construction and operation.

  • EDP Renováeis: advising on the acquisition of 70% of the shares in the solar project developer Kronos Solar.

  • Leading manufacturer of cable systems: advising on the participation in the award procedure of Amprion for the DolWin4/BorWin4 project in Germany.

  • Macquarie: advising on the planned sale of its indirect stake in a transmission system operator for natural gas.

Professional experience

Amalia started her career at Linklaters as an Associate in 2022. From 2017 to 2020, she worked in international law firms as research assistant in the area of corporate law/M&A.

In 2021, she worked as legal clerk in the legal department of an international private equity house in Munich.

She is a member of the German-American Lawyer’s Association (DAJV eV).

Education and qualifications

Amalia studied Law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.

She speaks German, English and Greek.
