Ashley Latham

Ashley is a senior associate in Linklaters’ New York office. She has experience in white collar criminal and regulatory investigations and parallel civil litigation, with a particular focus on antitrust matters. She also advises on crisis management, conducts internal investigations, and assists corporations with compliance, risk assessment and governance issues. 

Ashley serves as Vice Chair of the ABA Antitrust Law Section’s Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee. 

Ashley is qualified to practice law in New York and Ontario, Canada.

Work highlights

Since joining Linklaters, Ashley’s noteworthy matters include:

• Representing a generic pharmaceutical company in federal and state litigation related to antitrust and product liability claims. 
• Representing an executive of a global fragrance house in connection with parallel cartel investigations being conducted by the DOJ, European Commission, UK Competition and Markets Authority, and Swiss Competition Commission.
• Representing an individual in parallel insider trading investigations by the DOJ and SEC. 
• Representing a non-profit organization in a False Claims Act investigation by the DOJ. 

Before joining Linklaters, Ashley worked at a major law firm in Toronto, Canada. Noteworthy matters from Ashley’s prior firm include:

• Acting for Meta Platforms Inc. (then Facebook, Inc.) in settling concerns raised by the Canadian Competition Bureau regarding alleged deceptive marketing, as well as related investigations by and litigation involving Canada’s Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
• Successfully representing an individual in a petition to Global Affairs Canada for removal from Canada’s sanctions regime.

Ashley completed the JD/MBA program at Western University in Canada in 2017. Ashley was recognized on Western Law’s Dean's Honor List and was awarded the Bernard and Bessie Wolf Scholarship for attaining the highest average in the JD/MBA program. During the program, three of Ashley’s course papers were published in peer-reviewed academic journals. 

Today, Ashley is member of Western Law’s Young Alumni Advisory Council, which is comprised of identified committed and knowledgeable leaders in the legal profession tasked with lending their experiences and perspectives to further the law school’s mission.
