Overview

Carsten has specialised experience in real estate transactions and real estate private equity. He has been involved in a number of high-profile transactions with a total volume of several billion Euros. His experience includes asset- and share deal transactions in all asset classes including offices and retail. In 2017, he advised on one of the largest cross-border transactions in the logistics market ever and in 2019 on the bidder process of one the largest transactions in Germany over the last 10 years.

  • Aermont on the sale of the Marienforum in Frankfurt to Generali
  • Blackstone on the acquisition of several logistics portfolios in Germany and on the sale of the logistics platform Logicor with a value of over €12,25bn
  • BNP Paribas REIM on the acquisition of Deichtor Office Center in Hamburg, Franklin Haus in Berlin und Kallmorgen Tower in Hamburg
  • Catella on the acquisition of Südwest-Areals „Auf AEG“ in Nuernberg
  • LaSalle Investment Management on the acquisition of Morrow in Frankfurt (Main) and ElseBella real estate portfolio in Munich
  • Savills on the sale of the office portfolio Max & Merle and on the acquisition of a large office complex in Munich
  • Swiss Life and BVK on the acquisition of OSKAR in Munich
  • Union Investment on the bidder process for „Millennium Portfolio“ from Generali Lebensversicherung with a value of over €2.5bn
