I frequently advise family offices and private equity funds, helping them achieve their objectives by providing pragmatic solutions to complex corporate issues.

Overview

Gabrielle joined the Corporate & Finance Practice at Linklaters in 2015. She advises national and international clients across a variety of sectors on all aspects of their M&A transactions, both in Belgium and abroad. Gabrielle has a particular interest in private M&A, including private equity transactions, domestic and cross-border mergers, joint venture and business reorganisations and restructurings.

Work highlights

Gabrielle has advised on a wide range of major corporate transactions. These include advising: 

  • AXA on the contemplated sale of AXA Bank Belgium and acquisition of Crelan Insurance 
  • SNCB/NMBS on the contemplated combination of the Thalys and Eurostar businesses
  • Euroclear in relation to the relocation of the top holdings company of the Euroclear Group from the UK to Belgium 
  • Solvay on the financing of the acquisition of Cytec Industries
  • Sofina on its investment in VentePrivée.com, J.F. Hillebrand Group AG, Biotech Dental and Nuxe
  • UGC on the incorporation of the first real estate investment fund managed by an AIFM in Belgium

Professional experience

Gabrielle joined the Linklaters Brussels Corporate and Finance Group in 2015. 
In 2018, she was seconded to the Linklaters Mainstream Corporate Group in London. 
Gabrielle is also a teaching assistant at the Université libre de Bruxelles.

Education

Gabrielle holds a master’s degree in Law from the Université catholique de Louvain. She also studied for six months at the Queen’s University of Belfast within the framework of the Erasmus Programme.

She works fluently in French, English and Dutch.
