Overview

Joyce is a managing associate in the Belgian Corporate and Finance Group.

She specialises in corporate finance and financial regulation. She has, among others, extensive experience and knowledge in the regulatory regime applicable to financial institutions with a particular focus on credit institutions and insurance companies and with the change of control formalities with the NBB and the ECB. She is regularly involved in M&A and reorganisation transactions in the financial sector.

In this context, Joyce regularly works with financial institutions, listed and unlisted corporates and private equity firms.

Joyce has advised on a wide range of major transactions. These include advising:
 
  • Warburg Pincus on the acquisition of Banca Monte Paschi Belgio (now Aion), the Belgian banking subsidiary of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena
  • P&V Assurances on the public offer of its shares
  • Integrale on its conversion into a limited liability company and its capital increase for a total amount of EUR 169,147,222
  • AXA S.A. on the sale of AXA Bank Belgium to Crelan
  • Ethias on various capital market transactions
  • Anbang Belgium Holding on the sale of Fidea to Baloise and on the change of control formalities with the NBB and the ECB, required in relation to ABBH, Bank Nagelmackers and Fidea, following the capital injection by China Insurance Security Fund into Anbang

Professional experience

Joyce has been a Managing Associate in the Corporate & Finance Group since 2018. She joined Linklaters in 2012.

Education and qualifications

Joyce holds a master’s degree in Law from the University of Liège and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

She speaks French, English, Dutch and Italian.
