Overview

Monika is a Polish qualified lawyer (adwokat) with over 12 years of experience in the real estate sector. Her expertise focuses on advising investors and developers in real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales of office buildings, shopping- and mixed-use centres, logistics parks and hotels (also as real estate M&A, portfolio transactions and forward sale/purchase transactions), mergers, real estate joint ventures, corporate and organisational restructurings, as well as financing and refinancing of real estate transactions. Monika also has deep knowledge in all aspects of the development process, in particular in build-to-suit and build-to-own formulas.

Work highlights

Monika’s recent highlights include advising:

  • Nrep: advising on the acquisition of an 80% stake in 7R, one of Poland’s largest logistics developers. Nrep invested approximately €200m into the company.
  • Somerston Group: advising on the sale of Newbridge Poland, an asset manager and developer, to Greenman Group. Portfolio of Newbridge Poland, rebranded into Greenman Poland, comprises of retail parks and shopping centres.
  • 7R: advising on the sale of a logistics portfolio, comprising projects in the pre-development and development phase, to CTP Group.
  • A global investment firm: advising on a joint venture to invest in and develop logistics portfolio in Poland.
  • Echo Investment: advising on the €47,3m sale of the office building Moje Miejsce I in Warsaw to an institutional investor.
  • Nrep: advising on its first investment into the Polish private rented sector (PRS). The investment entails more than 1,000 newbuilt units acquired from YIT.
  • REINO, Grosvenor, IO, acting through the Polish Logistics vehicle: advising on the acquisition and financing of its first investment in Poland, a 135,000 sqm logistic park in Piotrków Trybunalski near Łódź.

Monika is a Polish qualified lawyer (adwokat) in Warsaw Bar Association.

Monika studied law at the University of Łódź.
