Hiroto specialises in financial regulations applicable to global banks, investment banks, insurance companies, securities brokerage firms and fintech companies in relation to a wide range of regulatory issues, such as licensing requirements and the available exemptions thereto, and the code of conduct regulations, and many more.

Before joining Linklaters, Hiroto worked for Japan Financial Services Agency, various U.S. and Japanese law firms, as well as Aozora Bank.

Education and qualifications

Hiroto studied law at Sophia University, graduating in 1993, and received an LLM in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University School of Law in 2009.

Hiroto is qualified in Japan.
