Overview

Marcin is a Polish qualified lawyer (adwokat) and has been with the firm since 2014. He advises corporates, banks and other financial institutions on domestic and cross-border finance transactions. His experience includes preparation and negotiation of finance documents in a number of real estate finance (including different asset classes – logistics, offices, apartment buildings and student housing facilities), acquisition finance and corporate finance deals.

Work highlights

Marcin’s recent experience includes:

  • noteholders: advising on Polish aspects of the note issuance by an investor to acquire a portfolio of PV firms by way of multiple acquisition transactions.
  • Student Depot (a subsidiary of Kajima Europe and Griffin Capital Partners): advising on a PLN165m financing of the development of two student housing facilities.
  • European Logistics Investment (a subsidiary of Redefine Properties, Madison International Realty, and Griffin Real Estate: advising on a €111m loan agreement with Berlin Hyp to refinance four projects from its logistics portfolio.
  • Emitel S.A. (a leading terrestrial TV and radio broadcast infrastructure operator in Poland): advising on an English law-governed PLN 1.5bn refinancing of senior secured facilities.
  • Resi4Rent (the first residential-for-rent platform in Poland): a joint-venture project between R4R Sarl (an entity controlled by a fund managed by one of the leading investment management companies in the world) and Echo Investment S.A. (the largest Polish developer) on the financing of the acquisition of an apartment building.
  • an investor: advising on various financings and acquisitions in Poland, including acquisition of a 132MW portfolio of three onshore wind projects and a 160MW portfolio of two onshore wind farm projects.
  • LeadCrest Capital Partners: advising on the financing of the acquisition of a €45m portfolio of two logistics and two light industrial facilities.

Education and qualifications

Marcin holds a master’s degree from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and a master of science’s degree from the Poznań University of Economics.
