Wei has over 10 years of experience advising investment banks and corporations on initial public offerings (IPO), mergers & acquisitions, equity financings and corporate governance matters. He also advises a number of listed companies on Hong Kong Listing Rules and other compliance matters.

  • the Hong Kong IPOs of China Tobacco International (HK) Company Limited, Rizhao Port Jurong Co Ltd, Shandong Gold Mining Co., Ltd., SCE Intelligent Commercial Management Holdings Ltd, Ozner Water International Holding Limited, Boyaa Interactive International Limited, Mando China Holdings Limited, China Railway Group Limited, China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. and China SCE Property Holdings Limited.
  • the placing of new A shares and H shares by Bank of Communications Co Ltd and the proposed placing of new A shares by China Railway Group Limited.

M&A

  • ZZ Capital International Limited on the acquisition of DaLian Kingwisoft Technology Co.
  • China Tobacco International (HK) Company Limited on the acquisition of tobacco production business in Brazil through China Tobaco International do Brasil Ltda.
  • Industrial and Commercial Bank of China on its acquisition of a 70% interest in The Bank of East Asia (Canada) from The Bank of East Asia Limited.

Education and qualifications

Wei studied law and economics at Peking University, and studied law at the University of Hong Kong. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
