Experience
James is a senior energy and natural resources specialist advising on project development and financing, acquisition financing and M&A and privatisation transactions in the energy (oil and gas/LNG, power, petrochemicals), infrastructure and utilities sectors. He regularly advises project sponsors, commercial banks, ECAs/multilaterals/development banks and private equity players.
James has a significant and broad based energy practice, having jointly led on the $20 billion plus Sakhalin LNG project (one of the world’s largest project financings backed by JBIC, NEXI and a syndicate of commercial banks). James focuses on the emerging markets having advised on energy transactions in many countries in Africa, Asia, Russia and Central Asia, Latin America, Turkey and the CEE.
James is recognized as a leading lawyer in Chambers for Energy and Natural Resources in China and Turkey
