Experience

Trevor is the co-head of our Asia Pacific banking and restructuring group. He is a specialist in international banking, project finance and restructuring and insolvency, based in Hong Kong for the last four years. Trevor recently advised PCCW on the HK$23,800,000,000 refinancing facilities for Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) Limited, in connection with the reorganisation of PCCW’s telecommunications and media business. Trevor also has extensive experience of advising on illiquid investments and pre-IPO financing transactions in the PRC and elsewhere in the region. His experience advising on highly leveraged transactions in Asia includes advising CLSA as lender of mezzanine facilities to finance the acquisition by Affinity Equity Partners of The Face Shop, Korea; Barclays Capital and ABN Amro as arrangers of a NZ$175m PIK facility for the acquisition by CCMP of New Zealand Yellow Pages; Vodafone on the vendor finance aspects of the US$15.7bn sale of its Japanese subsidiary, Vodafone KK, to SoftBank (and the subsequent restructuring of that vendor financing); United Spirits Limited on its £595m acquisition of the Whyte & Mackay Group, including advising on the acquisition finance provided by Citibank and ICICI Bank; and the arranger of the leveraged facilities to finance PAI’s acquisition of Lonza, Singapore.
