The Big Shake-Up: Private Capital at a Crossroads

26 June 2025 | 16:00 BST | Linklaters, One Silk Street, London EC2Y 8HQ

We are delighted to host the third edition of the Linklaters Global Investment Funds Conference, taking place on Thursday 26 June 2025.

2025 is a year of change and disruption, and Private Capital is in the heart of this Big Shake-Up. Geopolitical changes trigger high volatility and change at an unprecedented pace. New sectors and asset classes emerge and develop rapidly. Private and public interests increasingly converge triggering new models for financing and investment. The boundaries between traditional and alternative investing are blurring and institutional investment is converging with private wealth.

Against this background of profound transformation, the conference will examine how global market shifts will be shaping the future of the industry. Linklaters’ International Advisory Board members and renowned keynote speakers Baroness Dambisa Moyo and Dr. Meghan O’Sullivan will share their insights on macro-economic and geopolitical dynamics and look into challenges and opportunities. We will then explore through panel discussions, the impacts of the current market circumstances on financial sponsors and investors, including the evolution of product design, the future of placement models and strategies for product resilience beyond 2025.

In a world where private capital is rapidly evolving, staying ahead means being alert and shaping the future based on solid assessments. We very much look forward to welcoming you and introducing you to our global investment funds team.
