Large private companies urged to heed research on corporate governance reporting

The Financial Reporting Council has published a detailed research report on the large non-listed companies that provided a corporate governance statement in their first year of reporting, and whether these applied the Wates Principles, or an alternative code or approach. The research also sought to assess the quality of the reporting and to identify examples of good practice and readability.
