On 23 May 2025, the Companies (Amendment) (No.2) Ordinance 2025 introduces a new Part 17A – Redomiciled Companies – to the Companies Ordinance, establishing a legal mechanism for non-Hong Kong corporations to migrate their place of incorporation to Hong Kong. This new regime allows eligible corporations to become “re-domiciled companies” while preserving their legal identities and operational continuity.
