Webinar: ESG Outlook for Latin America in 2021

The discussion:

2021 marks the start of major transformational change in all environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters. Over the next decade, businesses and financial institutions will be judged not only on their development and adoptions of new ESG policies, but also how well they walk the talk.

In Latin America, ESG has become a prominent area of focus in recent years, with a high level of public awareness and a momentum of its own. We expect to see further ESG developments in the region in 2021, including increased interest from regulators, market participants, businesses and the general public. In particular, there should be more ESG-debt issuances, more corporates adopting international ESG principles, including in their reporting, and governments progressively enacting more ESG-related regulations.

In this session, panelists from Linklaters, Brigard Urrutia in Colombia, Carey in Chile, Machado Meyer in Brazil and Rubio Leguía Normand in Peru, discussed the outlook for ESG in Latin America in 2021 and beyond.
