The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) is a proposal by the European Commission to establish a legal framework for mandatory human rights and environmental due diligence obligations for companies operating in the European Union.

Following a roller-coaster legislative process started in February 2022, the European Parliament adopted the CSDDD. The text now also needs to be formally adopted by the Council and published in the Official Journal of the EU.

This webinar will cover what the outcome of the Parliament’s plenary vote means, the key changes made to the CSDDD and its implications for businesses, as well as lessons learned from supply chain due diligence regimes in Germany and France.
