Catalonia – Tenants of commercial or industrial premises affected by Covid-19 closures or restrictions can renegotiate rent

Under the law, which came into effect yesterday, 22 October, tenants can ask landlords for a reduction in rent while their businesses remain closed or subject to restrictions. This entitlement to seek rent relief is irrespective of any similar arrangements that parties may have reached before the law came into force.
