On 15 May 2020, the Central Jakarta District Court has refused a claim from Kokos Jiang and Prestige Capital Holdings Ltd who demanded the annulment of a SIAC arbitral award that was issued in 2015. A very pro-arbitration decision from a court in a jurisdiction that is traditionally perceived as being anti-arbitration. Is it really the case and what does it mean for award creditors?
