Experience
Paul has extensive experience in complex cross border M&A and their related financings, including the ground-breaking sale by Suez and simultaneous accelerated IPO of Northumbrian Water, as well as the acquisition of De Beers for Anglo American. Paul has advised on a number of strategic investments and joint ventures in Japan, including advising a strategic investor on Olympus Capital’s disposal of Arysta LifeScience, advising on the sale of Lehman Brothers' Asian business to Nomura, advising on the takeover of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America and advising Olympus Capital and other sellers on the sale of Mediatti Communications, Inc. to Jupiter Telecommunications. Paul also advised Diageo on the establishment of a strategic joint venture in Japan with Kirin Brewery Co and PwC on its recent acquisition of Bearing Point’s assets in Japan.
