Many have the chance to engage firsthand with complex legal issues, and all are entrusted with significant responsibilities, offering gaining direct access to partners and clients, as well as exposure to a broad spectrum of work.

We want to get to know you as an individual, and really understand what you can bring to our firm. Throughout our recruitment process we’ll be looking at your level of commercial awareness, as well as your communication skills, drive, and motivation. Of course, we’ll also be deeply interested in your intellect, your ability to work well with others, and your attention to detail.

Who is eligible

The U.S. Summer Associate Program is open to U.S. law students pursuing a J.D. degree. Please note: If you’re pursuing a U.S. LL.M. degree or law degree in a jurisdiction outside the U.S., you are not eligible to participate in this program. Does Linklaters recruit through on-campus interviews (OCI)?

We participate in on-campus recruitment at numerous schools, and we encourage you to find out from your school’s career services group when we will be interviewing on your campus. If we do not participate in your school’s on-campus recruitment program or if you would like to apply in advance of the OCI process (where permitted by your law school), you may apply directly at 2027 2L US Summer Associate Position.

Can I apply/bid to more than one office?

When applying, please apply/bid only once on your primary office of interest. You may express interest in additional office locations during your interview.

Do you recruit on a rolling basis?

Yes, we will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews on a rolling basis and look forward to getting to know you!

Are any language skills preferred?

Fluency in additional languages is a plus. In particular, we welcome candidates with proficiency in Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish.
