Linklaters has published a video featuring candid real-life stories, illustrating the experiences of LGBT people from its London office.

Five people from Linklaters’ partnership and business teams explain what it is like to come out, the support that they have received, struggles they have faced, and the role that LGBT allies play in the workplace.

Linklaters launched its Ally network in October 2014 to support and educate its people about the experiences of their LGBT friends and colleagues.

Richard Hodgson, partner and senior sponsor of Linklaters’ LGBT network, who appears in the video, says:

“Coming out isn’t something you do only once in your life. You do it again and again when you meet new people. The visible signs that our LGBT allies make at Linklaters are a powerful symbol of acceptance, and, had I known that as many people would make clear their support when I was younger, it would have made coming out a great deal easier.”

The video has been made to celebrate Pride month, when Linklaters, for the first time, will have its own ‘walking float’ in the Pride in London Parade on 7th July 2018. You can watch it here
