Antitrust has been seen as a deterrent to industry sustainability initiatives because companies fear cartel allegations if they cooperate with competitors, even in pursuit of bona fide goals such as upholding environmental standards. We will focus on how companies can achieve their sustainability goals and stay within the competition rules as they currently apply, potential reforms, and the lessons we can apply from the Covid-19 crisis to competition law and climate change.
