A Silver Lining: The Repeal and Transition of Singapore’s RFMC Regime

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”) has issued a consultation paper to repeal the Registered Fund Management Companies (“RFMCs”) regime. The Consultation Paper on Repeal of Regulatory Regime for Registered Fund Management Companies (“RFMC CP”) proposes transitional arrangements for existing RFMCs intending to continue operating fund management businesses following the repeal.
