Claudia Parzani named among the 100 global leaders for gender diversity by HERoes and Yahoo Finance

We are pleased to announce that Claudia Parzani, Partner and Global Business Development & Marketing Partner at Linklaters, and Chair of Allianz S.p.A., has been recognised as a leader for gender diversity in the HERoes and Yahoo Finance 2021 Women Role Model Lists for the fifth year in a row.

The HERoes Women Role Model Lists, supported by Yahoo Finance, are a powerful reflection of the incredible achievements of women in the business community. Claudia has been recognised in the 100 Women Executives category, championing global female leaders who are driving change and promoting gender diversity in the workplace.

Claudia has received longstanding recognition for her commitment to gender diversity having been listed in the same category in 2020 and in 2019 and having been named as a Top 10 Female Role Model (2018) and a Top 10 Champion of Women in Business by the Financial Times and HERoes (2017).

Claudia is actively sponsoring the firm’s global initiatives supporting female talent, including programmes such as the firm’s Women’s Leadership Programme and Stepping Forward, a coaching programme designed for the firm’s junior associates. In the Milan office, Claudia established Breakfast@Linklaters, breakfast forums for the female business community involving representatives from top tier organisations, which has grown to over 2,000 members.

Claudia is also the ambassador for Italy of Inspiring Girls, an international campaign launched in Italy by Valore D (the first association of businesses in Italy supporting female leadership), which Claudia chaired from 2013 to 2016 and is continuously involved as speaker and diversity representative.

Commenting on her recognition, Claudia, said:

Investing in talent and new skills is no longer optional, but rather a necessity and diversity should be valued as a key driver. We cannot lose half of our talent, the possibility to see the word with new eyes, and the chance to make wiser choices. Business, societies, and our countries need us all, women included.”

Claudia is a renowned capital markets lawyer, expert in governance and finance. From November 2016 to April 2021, Claudia was Linklaters’ managing partner for Western Europe and in 2021 she was selected as one of the three candidates to run for the role of global Senior Partner at Linklaters.

In addition, Claudia is Chair of Allianz S.p.A. and Deputy Chair of Borsa Italiana (Italian Stock Exchange). Claudia is also a member of the Board of Directors of ISPI (Istituto per gli Studi di Politica Internazionale), a member of the Governing Council and of the Executive Board of Assonime, a member of the General Board of AIFI (Italian Association of Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt), and an Italian Member of the Trilateral Commission and Chair of the Strategic Council of F.I.Do (Fondazione Italia per il dono onlus).

She has chaired the Board of Valore D (the leading association in Italy for prominent Italian companies committed to supporting female leadership) and is author of the book titled “Meravigliose, a guided tour within ourselves” published by Il Sole 24 Ore written together with theatre author and actress Francesca Isola.
