Overview

Beatriz Calixto Morais is an Associate in the Corporate department of the Lisbon office. Her professional experience has been focused on corporate law matters with a special emphasis on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and investments, preparing SPAs and performing DDs, acting for sellers and investors.

Beatriz assists national and international clients such as banks, investment funds and corporate clients that operate and invest in the financial sector, real estate, energy & water, infrastructure, software & IT and the tourism sector.

Professional experience

Beatriz began and built her legal career at Linklaters in the Lisbon office, where she started as Junior Associate in 2018 and became an Associate in 2021, currently working in the Corporate Department of the office, where is involved mainly in transactional work.

During her time at university, Beatriz did an internship at the National Centre for Information and Arbitration of Consumer Conflicts (CNIACC) (2016), a summer traineeship at local law firm Vieira de Almeida & Associados (2016), she participated in various moot court competitions and was actively involved in AIESEC, a global platform for young people to develop their leadership potential through international internships and volunteer opportunities.

Education and qualifications

Beatriz holds a Law Degree of the Faculty of Law of the Nova University of Lisbon (2017). She also attended the II Course on Consumer Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution of the Faculty of Law of the Nova University of Lisbon (2016.)

Beatriz furthermore obtained an LL.M. ‘Globalisation and Law’, with a specialisation in Corporate and Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the Maastricht University, in the Netherlands (2018).

Beatriz speaks Portuguese and English.
