Overview

Maike is a managing associate in our global Dispute Resolution practice and based in Munich. She specializes in dispute resolution in complex national and international commercial disputes, including litigation, in particular mass action proceedings under the Capital Investor Model Case Act, as well as white collar criminal law advice and the conduct of internal investigations.

Work highlights

Prior to joining Linklaters, Maike has most recently advised inter alia on the following cases:

  • a Dax 30 company: Advising and representing in the defence against alleged claims arising from an investment agreement in the context of litigation before courts of various states.*
  • a publicly listed company: advising and representing a former chairman of the supervisory board in the defence of directors' liability claims.*
  • a global leader in the engineering industry: advising and representing the company in a dispute arising from a comprehensive settlement agreement following an M&A transaction, as well as advising and representing the company in a supplier dispute in the automotive industry.*
  • a foreign trade company: advising and representing the company in ICC proceedings on the enforcement of commission claims from M&A brokerage activities.*
  • Volkswagen AG: providing sanctions advice to Volkswagen Group in connection with the sale of its shares in Volkswagen Group Rus LLC including its local subsidiaries to a local investor.

Professional experience

Maike joined Linklaters in 2021. Prior to joining Linklaters, she worked as a lawyer in the Corporate & Commercial Ligation practice of a boutique law firm in Munich since 2019.

She is a member of the DIS40 - initiative for young arbitration practitioners in Germany (DIS40 – Deutsche Initiative junger Schiedsrechtler).

Education and qualifications

Maike studied law at the University of Hanover and at the University of Munich.

She speaks German, English and French.
