Overview

Stanislas is an associate in our Paris office, specialising in financial regulation. He advises domestic and international banking, financial institutions, management companies and investment funds in a large variety of work, including the following: creation, structuring and licensing of institutions, change of control, transfer of activities, conduct of business, governance, provision of banking and investment services, regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings.

Stanislas advises on all aspects of financial markets regulation, including licensing and regulatory compliance, regulatory reform and cross-border servicing of clients and the implementation and application in France of MiFID II, CRD IV and CRR II, IFD and IFR, PSD II, AMLD V, Benchmark Regulation, EMIR and SFTR, SFDR and Taxonomy Regulation. 

Work highlights

Recent work highlights where substantial involvement can be disclosed have included advising:

  • Groupe La Française on the sale of La Française Investment Solutions, a Paris-based asset manager, to its founders and key managers (2020)
  • Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe and Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale on their synthetic merger (2021)
  • Euroclear Group in its acquisition of the MFEX Group (2021)
  • A leading international bank on obtaining its banking license in France (2022)

Stanislas holds a Master 2 Degree in Financial Law from University Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, and a Magistère in Business Law, from University Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne.
