Brexit freedoms and the future of retained EU law

The UK Government is reviewing the substance and status of retained EU law and proposes to bring forward a Bill to end the special status of retained EU law. The House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee is examining the same topic and has heard evidence from Linklaters senior consultant, Sir Jonathan Jones QC. The Government has also published a policy document entitled “The Benefits of Brexit – How the UK is taking advantage of leaving the EU”. This lists "achievements so far" outlining proposals for regulatory reform, including new principles to guide future regulation.
