Overview

Amy advises private equity and financial sponsors, pension funds and real estate funds on private equity investments/divestments, joint ventures, public M&A, management investment plans, restructurings and reorganisations, portfolio company advisory matters, corporate governance and day-to-day company law.

Work highlights

  • The National Grid Company plc: advising on the sale of a 60% sale in its gas transmission and metering business to a  consortium comprised of Macquarie and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation for £4.2 bn. 
  • GIC Real Estate Pte. Ltd.: advising Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, on its acquisition of an approximately 95% stake in the Sani/Ikos hotels group, an innovative and rapidly growing group of luxury resorts in unique beachfront locations in the Mediterranean for €2.3bn.
  • Brookfield Asset Management and OTPP: advising the consortium on their acquisition of a 50% stake in Scotia Gas Networks Limited for £1.8bn.
  • Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board: advising on its £1.465bn acquisition of 25% stake in SSE plc's electricity transmission network business.
  • Cadillac Fairview: advising on their acquisition of the property knows as White City Place, London.
  • A real estate investment arm of one of the world's leading pension plans: advising on its formation of a real estate investment management business and associated programmatic logistics joint venture.

Professional experience

In 2018, Amy was seconded to Oaktree Capital Management’s European private equity team, based in London. 

In 2016, Amy spent a seat of her trainee secondment in our Finance and Projects team in Abu Dhabi.

Amy is an alumnus of our Women’s Leadership programme, having participated in the course in 2022.

Education and qualifications

Amy has a degree in jurisprudence (law with studies in Europe) from the University of Oxford.
